  1. Usb Receiver Driver Windows 7

I have this connected to a Raspberry Pi 2 running the TvHeadEnd PVR application. The Raspbian Linux OS already has the driver built in and the device is immediately recognized. I did, however, have to download the correct firmware file for the tuner from the internet. I connected my home made HD antenna to the tuner and I get 33 channels.I also tried it out on my Windows 7 machine and it worked great there as well right out of the box. There is no need to go out and find firmware files if you are going to run this on Windows. I got my little gizmo several days ahead of what Amazon predicted the shipping time, quite pleased with the service. I spent the evening getting it installed, unpacking the little antenna.

And watched a bit of NCAA football. It was a good clear picture, I was again pleased. However, when I turned my laptop off, I pulled the AverMedia from the USB port and burned my finger!

The metal screw attachment for the antenna, while it wasn't glowing, was too hot to handle. And I noted the unit was uncomfortably warm as well. I hope it doesn't burst into flames. I had hoped to use it to record some shows while away. It would be sad to come home to a shell of a house because I wanted to time-shift a TV show! BETTER THAN THE AMAZON FIRE!

There are so many amazing things I can say about this. My wife and I recently cut cable tv and this is plenty for us. Compared to the Amazon Fire stick we bought and the Fire TV my brother has, or the old Roku my parents have, this is awesome. The speeds are fast even on wifi, but with the ethernet input we have NEVER had a stutter, not one.

The videos don't load fuzzy and then buffer into clarity, they are perfect right away.Hardware: The box is fast. We love the feel of the remote, which can also turn our tv on/off and control the volume. ONE REMOTE FOR THE WHOLE HOUSE! Plus if you lose it, click a button on the box and the remote makes noises so you can find it. Even in 1080 and on my 60 inch tv, not even. I'm thankful for it.

It does a good job for the price. I would have given a 5 star except for a couple of things. There is a lot of leg time from when you push a button on the remote until the reviver responds, and the button the remote areway too small. When I fast forward and press the button to stop, It take so long I miss as much as 10 minutes of the program andhave to rewind. The tuner in it is better than the one in my Tivo.

But I do wish it had more than one tuner so I could watch one program while watching another. The NESDR Mini 2+ from NooElec works great. I am currently using 2 of them connected to Raspberry Pis to collect ADS-B information for flight aware (PiAware). The units do seem to get a little warm to the touch but not warm enough to cause any concern. These also seem to work well enough for SDR using programs such as Cubic SDR or GQRX SDR (both for Mac) to pick up anything from local Police / Fire / EMS broadcasts to garage door openers in the 315 Mhz range.

It also works well for AM/FM radio broadcasts and television. Good product at a great price!

I use if for over the air (can be used as a cable tuner too) and It picked up all the local stations. Some I didn't know existed. Need a good antenna although the tiny rabbit ears they provide did OK. I built a large array antenna from plans and it works well.Problem is it gets very, very hot. So, I took the case off, just a few screws, and drilled a load of 3/16' holes all over the top and bottom case parts to let more air in. Worked well and now it gets warm but not extremely hot.It comes with am over the air TV tuner software that works almost as well as MS Media Player, but looks a bit crude.

I use the MS Media Center as it a bit nicer to use and use t have show guide info. It does allow over the. I purchased this hoping to get stations from Seattle, WA, channels 4, 5, 7 and 13 so we could get local news which is not available on Sling. We are 100+ miles away with mountains between us. Pointing the antenna due South we get all of these plus more, 30 some in all. If we point the antenna North into Canada we would get even more. The rotor is the only thing I have issues with, you basically have to be outside with the antenna and control box both in line of site to get it where you want it.

It has already gone through several wind storms and 2 ice storms and it has held up. Reception can be poor during these storms but so can dish antennas. The reception quality from this is much better than Direct TV ever was, with clear picture quality and sound. I expected some kind of toy TV for the price. But actually, it is a neat TV for traveling or for power outages. I get 25 channels with a leaf antenna I bought (Moho).

The image is very good and the sound is not bad at all. It comes with a lot of accessories: a telescopic antenna, audio cables, car charging cable, DC cables to connect to the wall, and an adaptor for an external antenna. It was worth every penny.Cons: The material might look a little cheap. It is very hard to take the plastic cover from the screen. Could have better instructions. The TV has an incredible picture.

I am very happy with the purchase and seem to be all set for any emergency when our electricity is shut off. We also have to give a special shout out to their customer service representative. I was really unable to understand the set up instructions, so after contacting the company, I received step by step instructions and set up the TV in minutes. They had a lot of patience and were wonderful.

Above and beyond their service. I have a perfectly set up and working TV. Thank you to the company.
